We all need to start taking action. This applies to not only the U.S., but the whole world.
One of our worse nightmares was gas at $3 a gallon. And you know what? It's $4 a gallon now (at least where I am, anyway; point is, it's REALLY high).
So I started noticing a lot of tv channels promoting the trend now known as "going green". I have mixed feelings about it because on one hand, it seems like people are just blindly following the crowd, or tv channels are only catching up to this for better ratings and such. And on the other hand, I'm bittersweetly glad that it has FINALLY clicked in people's heads that we need to start doing something about the condition of our planet.
Stop being lazy and DO SOMETHING TO HELP.
Remember what you learned about in elementary school, huh? REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE. IT'S NOT THAT HARD.
Don't come up with sad exuses why you can't do any of these things. Because I know you can.
Earth is our only home. It was a beautiful place and I can't help but feel humans have screwed it up pretty badly. If we don't have earth left, what do you think will happen to us and the animals and our pets and our friends and our cities and our forests and oceans?
Parents - think about your children (yeah, that's us), and how if this bad situation is not helped, that they could be facing some hard times. It's already been predicted that we kids and teens will do economically worse than our parents. Usually, we might let news like this pass right by us. It's extremely sad that this is our reality, that we hear these kinds of warnings every day and do not think a thing of it.
You might not think that your throwing a pop can into the blue bin instead of the black one will make that much of a difference. Afterall, you're only one person. But just imagine - if you told your family and friends to do something to help, then they told their families and other friends, and they told their extended families across the country, and they sent emails out to everyone in their address book, and then the recipients told all of their friends about the email, and they told their familes........do you get my point, now?
It's just like gossip - ideas can spread like wildfire, too.
You just need to catch on.
And I suggest you do ASAP.

People need to think of it this way: If earth is gone, where are we going to be?

...but what's it made of?

and there's nothing WE can do about the gas problem, because we have to make profit to get money for our country, and those fucking arabs are charging SO MUCH for it, concerning we have to get it from them, PLUS it costs a lot to ship it. (no offense against arabs, but they're causing us economical problems!)
And we already do recycle in my home. most of it is recycles.
Although about the gas problem, we're FINALLY doing offshore drilling of oil in alaska, so we won't have to get the gas from the arabians anymore. That's what I've heard, anyway.
